Delete account and data

In the app

Open Fellbert, tap the gear icon at the top right, then “Account and Premium”, and at the bottom “Delete account and data”. What is deleted: your pets’ data on the server, all shares, the addresses used for notifications, your account with the purchase service and finally the account itself. Deletion starts immediately and cannot be undone. Other people’s phones that are currently offline learn of it as soon as they are connected again.

You can also delete your access if you help look after a pet as a guest without an email account. To do so, use “Delete guest access and data” in the same place in the app. Withdrawing a share alone does not delete your access.

Deleting one pet only

You do not have to give up the whole account. On the start screen there is a “Remove” link under every pet. It deletes that pet’s plan, logs and history from the server and from your phone, while your account and your other pets stay. Anyone who helped care for that pet loses access.

Without the app

Without access to the app, write to support@fellbert.app with the subject “Delete account”. We clarify with you which details are needed to identify and confirm your request. We then delete your account or your guest access using the same procedure as in the app and confirm it to you.

We handle your request without undue delay and as a rule reply within one month. Should an extension permitted by law be necessary, we inform you within that month of the reason and the further period.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in: for an account the email address and password hash, for guest access the guest identifier.
• All synchronised data and photos of your own pets: profiles, plans, daily logs, history, observations and appointments.
• The addresses of your phones for push notifications, all shares you have granted or received, your invitations and your problem reports.
• The status of your subscription with us and your account with the purchase service RevenueCat.

What remains

Data that exists only on your phone is deleted by removing the app. On Android the phone’s backup does not include the app’s data. On iPhone a device backup may contain the app’s data; you manage that in your iPhone’s settings.

A pet that someone else shared with you belongs to that person and stays with them. Your name next to ticks and answers you entered there remains part of their records until they delete the pet or their account.

Logs of our server functions containing your account’s identifier are kept by Google for a further 30 days by default.

You cancel your subscription separately in your Apple or Google account; deleting your Fellbert account does not end it.
