Why Fellbert exists
Finni had stomach trouble. Two medications: one at least 30 minutes before food, the other two hours apart from the first. Plus his food spread across four meals.
After a few days I lost track. It got really hard when I was away and somebody else had to step in. With notes on paper we were lost: if one meal or one tablet came late, everything shifted, and we sorted it out again over WhatsApp.
And before the vet appointment I sat there trying to write down from memory how the past weeks had gone. That is why Fellbert exists.
The plan became a diary, the diary became a recap. Because the question at the practice was never “Did you give everything?” but “So, how did it go?”
Set it up once, Fellbert spreads it out.
You say how much your pet gets per day and which medication belongs to it. Fellbert spreads the meals across the day, plans with the gaps you enter and leaves out the hours when you are not there. A reminder arrives at the planned time. You enter dose and gaps exactly as the practice gave them to you.
Has he had his tablet yet?
One tap on the circle and the item is ticked off. Whoever shares the care sees the shared entries: what is ticked off, what is open, what somebody observed. Your partner, your parents, the sitter, the kennel type in a code. They need neither an account nor a subscription. You decide whether someone cares or plans together, and for how long: this weekend, two weeks or with no end date. Only you as the owner need Premium, once for all your pets.
“It went alright, I think.”
That is the sentence that is left at the practice when you tell it from memory. So Fellbert asks you briefly every day how your pet is doing: appetite, stool, vomiting, drinking, or whatever you chose from the list yourself. “Not seen” is an allowed answer. The short answers add up to a history you can talk through.
New food, new medication. And how did it go?
That is what the Fellbert Recap answers. When you change your pet’s food, ration or medication, Fellbert compares the two weeks before with the two weeks after. With a change of food, the days of the switch do not count. The result is given in words and numbers, here for example: “Stool: clearly better, before 6 of 11 days, after 0 of 13 days.” If entries are missing, Fellbert says how many it takes. If something else was changed in the same period, Fellbert says that it cannot tell the changes apart.
A comparison of your entries, not proof of a cause. After a bad spell things often improve by themselves. Discuss what you notice with your vet.
Month by month, not just the last day.
Over weeks and months the recap shows phases with the same plan, every month with its notable days, the longest notable and the longest unremarkable run, and the weight over time. No score, no grade, no streak. Only what you entered, put in order.
How was it back then with this food?
Fellbert remembers what was in the plan and when. When a food or medication comes back, you pick it and see every earlier period in which it was in the plan, with your observations from that time and whatever else was in the plan back then. No ranking and no verdict on which was best. “Was in the plan” does not mean “was certainly given”.
To the practice, in order.
From your entries Fellbert builds a report as a PDF: plan, medication given as a scheme such as 1-0-1, observations, weight, appointments. Days without an entry appear as not documented, not as unremarkable. The last week is free, any other period comes with Premium. Your contact details in the letterhead never leave your phone.
What Fellbert does not do.
No diagnosis, no dosage.
Fellbert plans, reminds, asks how your pet is doing and puts the history in order. You enter medication, dose and gaps exactly as the practice gave them to you. The app makes no recommendations.
No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
Without an account everything stays on your phone; nothing is transmitted. With an account your pets’ data is stored encrypted with Google Cloud in the EU. Your contact details never leave the phone. This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from third party servers.
No tricks.
